For Nani, Dadi, Nana, Dada

one summer day at nani’s house, morning to night — open achaar jars on the terrace for memories, push the jhoola higher, light a lantern for one more story, then tap the stars into a heart and find her photo as the moon.

About this template

Lovely's grandparents template is one summer vacation day at nani's house, told from morning to night while a watercolour sky changes colour and the sun travels across it. At 7 am, achaar jars sit on the terrace wall with cloth lids tied on. Each jar she taps pops open with a memory — mango achaar that took three weeks, the 'don't tell mummy' laddoos hidden behind the rice — and the last one holds a photo.

At 2:30 pm, while everyone sleeps, a jhoola hangs from the mango tree. She taps push until it swings high and leaves fall: 'you pushed. i flew.' At dusk she holds a button to light an old lantern, and its glow brings back the bedtime stories one by one — 'the same story, 400 times. a new ending every time.' At 10 pm it is beds on the terrace: she taps every star, they join into a glowing heart, and her photo rises in the middle like the moon above 'love you, Nani'.

Every line, the names (Nani, Dadi, Nana, Dada or anything you call them) and all three photos are editable, and steppers choose how many jars (2–4) and stories (2–4) appear. It costs ₹59 one-time; Lovely gives you a link and QR code in about five minutes, and it opens on their phone without any account — easy to show them on a video call too.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to make a website for my grandparents on Lovely?

About five minutes. Choose the Summers at Nani’s template, tap any text on the preview to change it, swap in your photos, and publish. Lovely gives you a shareable link and a QR code straight away.

Does the recipient need an app or an account?

No. The page opens in any phone or laptop browser straight from WhatsApp, Instagram or SMS. There is nothing to install and no sign-up.

What can I customize in Summers at Nani’s?

Every line of text — the memories in the jars, the jhoola lines, the bedtime stories and the final message — the names, and all three photos, including the one that appears as the moon. Steppers choose how many jars (2 to 4) and stories (2 to 4) appear.

Is it easy for older grandparents to use?

Yes. Every scene uses one big, clearly labelled action — tap a jar, tap push, hold to light the lantern, tap the stars — and the text is large. Many families also open it together on a video call.

Does it only work for Nani?

No. “Nani” is just the default. Change it to Dadi, Nana, Dada, Ajji or any name, and the line about Nana’s stories can be rewritten for whoever told them.
