Put a real number, a real place or a real hour in it. "Four hours away" becomes "Kacheguda to Pune, every alternate Friday." "Day 214" becomes today's actual count. "Our place" becomes the name of the place. "9 PM" becomes the hour they genuinely call.

If the line only makes sense to one person, they should have received it. A status is a broadcast to your whole contact list, most of whom are not the point. A miss-you aimed at an audience of one, posted publicly, reads as a hint — and hints are how people end up having the wrong conversation.
If you haven't actually called in nine days, a well-phrased status is effort spent avoiding the call. Post nothing; dial.
