60 all the best wishes in Hindi for interviews, matches, stage shows, new starts and journeys — Devanagari, Hinglish and elders' vijayi bhava blessings.
60 original all the best wishes in Hindi for every big day that isn't an exam: an interview, a match or competition, a stage performance, a first day or a new business, a journey, plus the elders' blessings (vijayi bhava, yashasvi bhava) and a Hinglish section for WhatsApp. Devanagari lines copy with their romanized version. For exam-day lines specifically, best of luck for exam is the dedicated bank.
Shubhkaamnayein, aashirvaad, or just "all the best"?
Hindi doesn't really have one phrase for "all the best." It has three registers, and choosing the right one is half the message.
शुभकामनाएँ (shubhkaamnayein) — good wishes. From anyone to anyone. Safe everywhere.
आशीर्वाद (aashirvaad) — a blessing. Traditionally from an elder to someone younger. Vijayi bhava (may you win) and yashasvi bhava (may you be successful) are the classic forms, and they carry real weight from a grandparent.
"All the best" in English letters inside a Hindi sentence — how most people actually type on WhatsApp. Nothing wrong with it.
And then there are the rituals that do the wishing without words: dahi-cheeni at the door, a tilak before leaving, a quick stop at the mandir, a nimbu-mirchi on the new shop's shutter, someone saying shubh shubh bolo when you voice a doubt. The best Hindi wishes often reference one of them.

When the wish needs the dahi-cheeni too
A Hindi "all the best" is half words and half ritual. When the person is at home, someone puts a spoon of dahi-cheeni in their mouth at the door. When they're in a hostel in Kota, a PG in Pune, or a flat in Toronto, nobody does.
Lovely's Best of Luck template puts the rituals on their phone. It starts with a luck machine — "big day? spin the luck machine. take everything." — and they turn the crank to collect two to five lucky charms you choose, from "a four-leaf clover for the one question you didn't study" to "main character energy — walk in like you already got it." Next, dahi-cheeni: "Maa's rule: dahi-cheeni before you go. 3 spoons." They feed the spoons — nom! — and a luck meter fills: "shubh shubh. now nothing can stop you." Then nimbu-mirchi: they tap to string it up — "no nazar today. bad vibes: blocked. jealous aunties: also blocked." Finally they shake a fortune box and pull a slip that reads शुभ, with their name and your sign-off ("— Maa, Papa & Chotu"). ₹49 one-time, opens from WhatsApp, no app or account.
"Every family has its own version of the door ritual," says Lovely's founder. "We just made one that works across a thousand kilometres."
"Interview ki shubhkaamnayein" → "Kal ke Infosys interview ki shubhkaamnayein"
"Match jeet ke aa" → "Inter-school final jeet ke aa, Ryan wale ko hara ke"
"Safar mangalmay ho" → "Rajdhani ka safar mangalmay ho, aur upper berth mil jaaye"
What NOT to do: don't follow a blessing with pressure — "vijayi bhava, aur haan, is baar select hona hi chahiye" cancels itself. Bless, and stop there.
If the big day is a board exam or an entrance, the parents' lines in beti ke liye shayari and the exam bank above are the better fit.
Frequently asked questions
How do you say all the best in Hindi?
The everyday form is "shubhkaamnayein" (शुभकामनाएँ) or "tumhe dheron shubhkaamnayein". Elders often bless instead of wishing: "vijayi bhava" (विजयी भव, may you win) or "yashasvi bhava" (यशस्वी भव, may you be successful). In casual chat most people simply write "all the best" in English letters, mixed into Hindi.
What is the difference between shubhkaamnayein and aashirvaad?
Shubhkaamnayein are good wishes and can come from anyone — a friend, a colleague, a younger cousin. Aashirvaad is a blessing and traditionally flows from an elder to someone younger. A younger person wishing an elder usually says "shubhkaamnayein" or asks for their aashirvaad instead.
What do I write in Hindi before someone's interview?
Something calm and confident: "Jaisa ho, waisa hi rehna — wahi sabse achha jawab hai. Dheron shubhkaamnayein." Interview wishes land best when they reduce nerves rather than add expectations. Send it the night before or early in the morning.
Should I write all the best wishes in Devanagari or Hinglish?
Devanagari for elders, a card, or the family group, where the script reads as warmth and respect. Hinglish for friends and WhatsApp status, because it reads quickly and needs no keyboard switching. Every Devanagari line here copies with the romanized version attached.
Is there a page I can send instead of a message?
Lovely's Best of Luck template is built around Indian good-luck rituals: a luck machine of charms, three spoons of dahi-cheeni, a nimbu-mirchi against nazar, and a fortune box that reveals "शुभ". It is ₹49 one-time and opens from a WhatsApp link with no app.
